1 in 7 couples struggle with infertility so please know you’re not alone if it’s taking longer than you’d hoped.
Many couples are increasingly turning to traditional acupuncture to help with conception, and this includes the treatment of both men and women. In women, studies show that acupuncture can regulate the menstrual cycle and promote ovulation by controlling hormonal imbalances, increasing ovarian and uterine blood flow and endometrial thickness and reducing stress levels, thus helping to increase the chance of conception.
For those of you who are just starting out and want to improve their fertility prospects, those who are struggling to conceive or have had a diagnosis of 'unexplained infertility', PCOS or endometriosis.....please read below:
Before any acupuncture commences you will need to have a fertility consultation.
This initial fertility consultation with you and your partner begins at the diagnostic stage where we take a deep dive delve into assessing your fertility health and fertility type, as well as the general medical, nutritional, lifestyle and emotional aspects of
your health. Ideally you’d come as a couple but I know that’s not always possible. Although it is helpful to meet both partners,
I am happy to see women on their own. As long as one of you can fill me in on the details of your situation then I can take it
from there.
A comprehensive review will be undertaken of all your blood and hormone test outcomes, investigations and reports, what
steps to take next and assistance with identifying the root cause of your fertility issues. It's an opportunity for you to ask all
those questions you've never dared ask or when you have you've been dismissed. Its your chance to come away with new
insight into your reproductive health and with some simple steps to move towards better fertility health and hope for what's possible.
Finally, a bespoke plan is designed around acupuncture, nutrition, lifestyle issues, stress reduction and exercise. Recommendations will be made for further investigation and/or testing and supplement modifications.
